The Sydney Lolis had a meetup on Halloween and I posted pictures a few weeks ago, but photobucket ruined my life and I ran out of bandwidth like 1 day after posting the images, and so a lot of people missed out.

We had an awesome meet up, though a smaller turn out then what we'd expected. All of 5 total though 14 people had RSVP'd. The day was GORGEOUS, sunny and warm, not windy rainy or even cloudy.

Please email your addresses (regardless of whether you PMed them to me before or not, sometimes my PM box is kind of wonky) to fictitious.cake@gmail.com and put "EGL SECRET SANTA" in the subject line. If you don't email me your address within three days, you will not be able to participate. You will receive your assignments shortly after that along with instructions about when to send them out (a slightly pushed back date because of the lateness of this, I apologise again, but it'll still be due by earlyish December).

Be sure to tell me in your email who you are on LJ.

Once everyone gets their assignments, I'll make a post here with more detailed information.

So before Bodyline had more organized categories, there were all sorts of headdresses and hairbands and the like.
Like those cute ribbon hair bands and those sort of rectangular headdresses (those thing that you tie around your head). And now they're
nowhere to be found? I searched through all the categories and could not find gigantic ribbon headbands nor headdresses.

I really liked them and now I do not know where they flew off to. >:
Anyone notice this or are they hiding somewhere that I didn't look?

For those of you who are freaking out about how new Bodyline stock is SOLD OUT already in whatever size/colour OMG!!! I've noticed that when they add new items they frequently do not have all sizes/colourways immediately available. I can only assume that their supplier sent out one shipment that only included one size or colour and that the others will soon be in. Try checking back in a few weeks or asking them directly if the item is truly sold out in a size/color or if it simply isn't in stock yet. Several of my friends have been panicking about their new coat lol.

Edit: Perfect example- i purchased a JSK in one colourway once b/c my first preference was sold already (day 2 of it being on their site) only to find two weeks later OMG surprise the other colour was available.

The blouse was finished in time for Halloween (and worn) the capplette was finished shortly after Halloween and the jsk is yet to be started. ;>_> I basically had real life explode in my face over the course of October. We had a new and THANK GOD temporary manager at work, who seemed to make it a point to make my life/job a living hell and then have THE GALL to TELL ME that is was all MY fault. This left me with about a month of bad days and so completely burnout by the time I got home that all I wanted to do was sleep the rest of the day. No surprise there, that I didn't get my sewing projects completed on time. ( Anyway, blouse and capplette pics- )

Holiday Ornament Bustle Skirt
I scored about 3 2/3 yds of dark navy with gold Daisy Kingdom "ANGELS ORNAMENTS BORDER" Christmas Fabric on ebay for ~$15! Oh what a skirt it will make~ I'm not a huge navy person and I really don't like gold AT ALL, so I decided to coordinate it with cream. In turn, I also decided that I needed to incorporate said cream into the skirt in some way. Voila, bustle skirt (idea) is born. Thanks to all the responses on my question post about the construction this skirt, I have a pretty good idea of where I'm going with it. I intend to make a matching AP style bow & pearls broach and maybe a head bow (If any of you can think of something classier then a headbow for this project I'll welcome the input). ( Sketch of design and fabric shot to oooo and aaaaah at. =P )
